Paris Hilton - Of all topics to officially start with...

This is something that's been on my mind for a while. Many might disagree, but it's my opinion. Also, no offence is meant, purely my observation.

Seriously now folks, who else has a problem with the way Miss Hilton is in general. I honestly have no problem with her having fun. She has the money to do so - why the hell not? The problem I have is that she is famous and a so-called celebrity, just for this. It seems that the person who worked hard for this money (Her grandfather, I believe) is so easily forgotten and this girl, scandal after scandal keeps on 'rollin' along' in the words of the song 'Ol' Man River'.

Ok so I've heard she models, but please - thousands of people model. Is it really her money that made her so important? She doesn't even have a reality show like Tyra Banks does(Which incidentally I will rant about in the future).

Or maybe it was Salomon's 'Night in Paris' that brought her to fame...again - many sex tapes, hardly any of them as famous as this one for some reason.

Another thing - what's the deal with the patent/copyright/whatever it was, on the phrase 'That's Hot', and more recently I've heard on the phrase 'That's Sexy'. Huh? So she basically took two commonly used phrases, the latter used by men worldwide, and made them hers? And the officials just let it happen? Maybe I should do the same thing for the phrase 'Come on'. As in, come on, give me a break.

Also, was she honestly that good an actress to land a role in that 'House of Wax' movie...hmm...

But, with the bad, I should mention the good. On hearing that she had released a single, I must admit my first impression was - 'Oh brother, what now?'. It wasn't until a few weeks later I heard a piece of it. Now, I'm not into this style of music. Those of you who are observant enough may have realised that my style goes back to the crooners. However, despite not liking the song, her voice matched and I go as far as to say that it went well with the tune. So for people who like this type of music, they will most probably find it enjoyable. For this, I give her credit - this is the only thing I consider 'famous' for.

To make a comment on the other sister, Nicky Hilton. I always liked her better, and I always considered her the better looking of the two. Probably because she hasn't been in any major scandal that I know of and has always been, in my eye, the more sensible one. Just last week I heard that she was starting her own hotel line. This shows me she is indeed the smarter one - thinking about the future.
